Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions for our guest house in Phnom Penh.
I want to cancel my booking? - Please cancel your booking using Hostel World, Hostel Bookers or if booked on this website please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please only email us if you have booked on this website.
I want to change my booking? - You will need to make another booking on this website as this is how we manage our availability, or you can make a booking on Hostel World, or Hostel Bookers.
Can i get my deposit back? - If you have booked online then your booking fee and 10% deposit are taken by hostel world or hostel bookers, this site uses the hostel bookers engine so if you need to cancel you will forefit your deposit. This has zero to do with us, its the policy of the individual booking engines.
Can i get an airport pick up? - No we do not provide airport pick up due to a number of past no-shows. However you can quickly get a Tuk Tuk or Taxi at the airport. A Tuk Tuk will cost you around $8.00 a Taxi around $10.00
Can i get a bus station pick up? - No - Buses are often late of dont run - We do not offer a bus station pick up. You can get a tuk tuk from the bus station to the Mad Monkey for around $3.00
Can i walk in and get a room? - Normally no - We are the best rated hostel in Phnom Penh, your chances of getting a room without booking ahead during high season is slim. Dorm rooms depend on the day - You can check all of our availability online for the day by using the booking system and not booking if you dont have a credit card.
Do I have to book online? Yes to secure and confirm your booking you do, we dont take bookings by email. We do accept walk in bookings if we have availability.

How do I find you? - You print off the map a link to it is at the left of the page at the bottom, alternativly you ask a driver to take you to street the Almond Hotel. If you get lost go to The Mad Monkey on street 302 and our Tuk Tuk drivers will give you a lift to the Cheeky monkey.
How much is a tuk tuk ? New about $1500.00 USD - if you dont want to buy your own it really depends on where you are going - prices to the airport $8.00 - Bus Station $3.00 - City Limits $3.00 - Killing Fields $8.00 etc
How much is a taxi? New about $9,000.00 USD - just to the airport $12.00 around town based on a meter.
What visas do i need? Would suggest you check out this awesome travel website that will answer all visa questions. Cheap Flights Cambodia. It is full of in depth travel information for travel around South East Asia.
Can I buy bus tickets? Yes we sell a full range of bus tickets in Cambodia - lots of different companies - bus tickets around the country range between ten and fifteen dollars. You can buy them online before you travel on www.cambodianadventuretours.com or buy them when you get here in The Mad Monkey.
Can I book flights with you ? Yes we offer flight bookings in the travel centre.
Can you organise visas? Yes we can organise visa's for Laos, China, India, Vietnam, Thailand and extensions to your Cambodian Visa or you can buy a visa service online at www.cambodianadventuretours.com
