The sister accommodation from the team at The Mad Monkey. The Cheeky Monkey Guesthouse in Phnom Penh offers our guests a modern home stay with all of the Khmer charm as an alternative option to hostel accommodation in a central location.
The guest house is very intimate, we are located at the Penthouse level of a traditional Khmer building overlooking a Buddhist Wat. All rooms have AC, flat screen TV's and breakfast is included in your room rate. There is a large balcony looking over the city skyline, from it you can see the Mekong River, The Royal Palace and the Independence Monument. The top floor of the accommodation houses a working art studio. Guests are welcome to use the art studio to paint as they wish. The property is ideal for business people, guests staying for an extended period or so whilst working in Phnom Penh or those wanting a comfortable base from which to explore Phnom Penh.

The accommodation offers all guests a large double bed, flat screen TV's in each room, air conditioning in each room, piping hot showers, two rooms with en-suite bathroom, an intimate bar and communal area and the opportunity to visit a working art studio with what can be considered as the best views of the Phnom Penh skyline.
The guesthouse is located on the top of a traditional Khmer building, right at the Penthouse level. There are two long flights of stairs to reach the guesthouse which overlooks a traditional Khmer temple and Buddist University. The communal area and rooms all have windows with uninterrupted views of the Phnom Penh skyline, sunrise and sunset. We are located in the centre of town, close to the funky BKK1 area and street 278, just twenty five minutes walk from the Royal Palace, ten minutes walk to The Independence Monument, ten minutes walk to The Riverside and ten minutes walk away from the popular Naga Casino. The area is in a quiet side street of a residential area so its peaceful whilst at the same time being close enough to the Phnom Penh nightlife. 
Guests are welcome to work in the Artists Studio located on the top floor, we provide access to water colours, oils and paints included within your room rate. Canvas is available to purchase dependent on the size. The inspiration of the local skyline and temple surroundings is also free, making this guesthouse an awesome choice for guests who love to paint, or just want to try out their artistic skills.
Suitable For
The Cheeky Monkey is a suitable hangout for couples, or single travelers that want to meet other people whilst at the same time enjoying slightly more up-market accommodation and a more intimate setting. The guesthouse is run by a British-American couple so nothing is lost in translation, whilst local Khmer staff also work to make your stay comfortable.
Facilities & Guest Rooms
All 
rooms are cleaned everyday, bedsheets & towels are changed on request, each room has its own private set of keys for your security. Access to the top floor is via two long flights of stairs so customers may wish to consider this prior to booking. Every room comes with a comfortable sprung bed, comfortable pillows, a snugly duvet, its own flat screen TV with over 100 channels available. There is also a communal living area with a large flat screen TV for movie nights (hundreds of films in our libary) a book exchange, a bar well stocked with beers, good quality wines and spirits open for our guests each night.
Food & Breakfast
A full continental breakfast of coffee or tea, cereals, toast, jams and spreads, fresh fruit and french breads is available between 8am and 10am every morning. Options for a full cooked breakfast are also available - See our food. Express delivery of over 40 menu options is available to order from our sister accommodation The Mad Monkey between 8am and 10pm every night. A couple of times a week we provide an in house dinner menu available for guests.
Socially Responsible
The ability to stay with a socially responsible team, we are a social enterprise 10% of the profits generated by your stay goes straight back into development projects within the local community. All our staff get healthcare and they keep their tips, as a social enterprise we are driven by positive social impact first and profits second.
Fun, Secure and Safe Environment
All of our rooms are lockable, and access to the street is locked at night. There is no curfew, all guests are provided with thier own set of keys for access to the guesthouse 24 hours a day.
Full Travel & Tours Service
We have a full travel and tours service able to help you arrange domestic and international onward travel. We can advise you on the best places to stay in Cambodia and we have partnerships with most of the other great hostels around Cambodia. We are also able to provide you with visa processing services for Laos, Vietnam and Thailand and arrange buses, taxi and boat travel to Vietnam, Laos and within Cambodia.

Children - The guesthouse is not suitable for children as it is on a high level, for your safety and security children are not allowed at the guest house.
